History in the making

Continente Bom Dia Leiria was our big shot to change everything, challenging the retail status quo, without changing anything – except for the groundbreaking checkout process, it’s just a really simple, smooth and seamless shopping experience.

The sheer size is impressive on its own, but the whole process behind it makes for a whole other story. Almost 3 years in the making, with hundreds of amazing humans working relentlessly side by side, with a common goal - to start a retail revolution, and change the rules of the game forever.

Inclusive by nature

With democratic entry (no app or card tapping needed), assisted sales (fresh fish counter), fresh bread and pastries in bulk, simplified real-time basket checkout, discrepancy detection (a first!), and many more, bringing the shopping journey to a whole new level.

 

As simple as it gets

 

Thanks to “real-time basket”, items automatically appear on the screen for confirmation at checkout, eliminating the need to remove products from bags or carts to scan them, or have someone else scan them for you (that’s so 2024).

 

We know mistakes happen

 

That’s why, for the 1st time, our technology identifies discrepancies between what the customer picked up (e.g., oranges) and what was actually weighted (e.g. tangerines).

These days, shrink seems to be a real issue, so having a solution that reduces waste to a bare minimum is a solid first step to tackling a potential structural problem for retailers.
